Outreach Chair - Position DescriptionMissionThe Outreach Chair position exists to provide a link between our broader Puget Sound community and the Puget Sound Human Factors and Ergonomic Society. The goal is to reach out to those in the community that could benefit from HFE intervention and provide opportunities for PSHFES members to get involved in projects which foster good will while educating the community about the benefits of HFE. Work with the council and the membership to identify outreach projects. Develop and work with the Outreach Committee to develop the project, educate the public and members about the project and insure the project meets it objectives. Objectives I. Oversee ProjectsA. Reevaluated existing projects to determine appropriate direction the project should take II. Recruit volunteers from the council, the membership and other interested parties for the project committee and events.A. Coordinate volunteer efforts III. Review materials related to ergonomics, and have other volunteers review them, or even field test them, as appropriate IV. Work with the President and Communications Chair to publicize projects.A.
