Topic:
This presentation will discuss the use of electromyography and motion tracking for the evaluation of tablet design using ergonomics principles. We’ll evaluate different sizes, grips, and textures as a means for reducing muscle loads, reducing awkward posture, and overall comfort. In conclusion, we’ll evaluate how the results apply to mobile productivity overall.
Speaker:
Anna Pereira currently works at Microsoft focusing on ergonomics and design of keyboards, trackpads, and mobile productivity. Before coming to Microsoft she received her Ph.D. in ergonomics from University of California, Berkeley and completed a research position with the Tangible Media Group in the MIT Media Lab. Anna continues to collaborate with Universities on research opportunities including keyboards and gesture interaction.
