What: REI Distribution Center Tour
Event Details: REI is a national outdoor retail co-op that has its beginnings in Seattle with a group of mountaineers in the late 1930’s. Today, they offer their own line of high-quality award-winning gear and apparel, in addition to products from the top brands for camping, climbing, cycling, fitness, hiking, paddling, snow sports and travel.
Join us for a tour of REI’s Distribution Center in Sumner to see how they get all that gear, apparel, and equipment efficiently to their customers’ doors. This will be a great opportunity to both learn and provide feedback on ergonomics and human factors for the warehouse receiving, order picking, and shipping processes. The tour will last about 1 ½ hours followed by a ½ hour discussion.

Where to Park: Anywhere in the large lot in front of the building
Additional Notes: Please wear comfortable, closed toe/heel shoes. No open food or beverage containers allowed. Please do not carry back packs, briefcases, or purses. Photographs are ok. Sign in at the front office is required (but photo ID not needed).
